This workshop is about creating healthy sleeping habits so that you get the best out of yourself, so many factors contribute to lack of sleep, some of our own choosing and for some people it's a pattern that they just try to live with.
Trauma is a contributing factor and when I was dealing with my diagnosis of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, sleep or the lack of it became a significant part of my healing journey. Rather than fighting against insomnia, I chose to connect with my thoughts, feelings, and sensations during those sleepless hours. It was an intuitive process, and although it was often challenging, sleep eventually came.
This experience has inspired me to teach others about the different ways to support a stressed mind when sleep is elusive. During the workshop, we explore not only the challenges that come with lack of sleep but also practical techniques to help. We will discuss some daily rituals to help prepare for sleep, discover the circadian rhythm and how your body has an amazing ability to regulate itself when dusk falls and daylight emerges.
We will also look at the beautiful pure essential oils that support sleep, calm the sympathetic nervous system and in turn support the bodies para-sympathetic nervous system. Additionally, we will take you on a relaxing 9D Nidra breathwork meditation.
