Cooking with Essential Oils

When I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2016, the decision to live on plant-based foods and choose organic produce came easily to me. I had always been drawn to making healthier choices, so following my intuition when it came to food felt like a natural path to take.
The choices I made were born from intuition and were not based on medical advice. After receiving a prognosis of six months to live, I made the decision not to undergo treatment through the oncology department. For me, it was a decision that felt right, and food became an integral part of the way I chose to live.
Approximately eight months after the initial consultation in Cypress I had an appointment with the UK Consultant who had supported my decision and gave me the results of a CT scan, he recorded that I was in spontaneous remission. This journey through lymphoma was a powerful part of change in our lives.
I can only speak from my own experience. I cannot say definitively what caused my remission, anymore than I can understand lymphoma in its entirety. What I can share is how profoundly my relationship with food became part of my own journey and how it subsequently inspired Steve and me to create the plant-based recipes.
In our recipes, we use essential oils, with or without spices depending on the recipe. I never use dried herbs, fresh and homegrown whenever possible. Otherwise its always essential oils as food flavouring or essential oils and organic spices.
These recipes grew from our own experiences, preferences and way of living. They are simply our way of sharing the wisdom that we can all take care of our bodies, be creative and stop eating UPF's.
